WHY
VOLUNTEER?
By volunteering with Lifting Hands, you will be participating in improving the life of the members living in the community of Bajo Los Anonos. It will be a unique experience for volunteers spending their time in a place where they can know a different culture, and collaborate to build a better world and help the community of los Anonos.
WHY?
Those who are interested in volunteering at Lifting Hands must be committed to giving their best, you must have a passion and desire to share your expertise and knowledge and must be wiling to contribute with a minimum of 20 hour a week.

This project is well suited to enthusiastic volunteers who are interested in working with children, providing them with a head-start on their education in a fun and supportive environment. Another skill you need for sure is to like children, because you are going to be around them during all your volunteer experience. Apart of this, proactivity, enthusiasm and collaboration are highly appreciated.

Volunteers who want to give classes must be available for four months :

HOW?
ACTIVE VOLUNTEER
This type of volunteer is expected to complete at least 20 hours a week. You will be helping the project with the day a day work. The volunteer can choose different activities:

Playing with the children
-
Helping the administrator of the second hand store

Helping the children with their school assignments

Giving classes
-
Developing specific projects for the foundation (for example, sustainable development)

It will be a unique experience for volunteers spending their time in a place where they can develop new skills, know a different culture, and, above all, collaborate to build a better world and help the community of los Anonos.
ECONOMIC VOLUNTEER
This type of volunteering is for people who don’t have the time to volunteer but wish to help to make a difference and are willing to support and engage economically with a specific donation defined by the volunteer.

Moreover, active volunteer can also help the foundation by donating money and/or offering materials.
​
The monetary help given by these volunteers enables the foundation to provide a better environment and material for the children during the year.
INTERNSHIP
Volunteering at Lifting Hands can also be an internship for university students. You can apply and see with the director of the foundation what could be your personal project to develop.
​
For example, recycling project, international volunteering project, fundraising strategies, methodological support, etc.
